Happy Summer,

   The 4th of July was a hot and humid day, but it came and went as always. I hope all were able to enjoy themselves and celebrate. Speaking of celebrating, come to our 10th annual Veterans' Outreach run. It is sure to be a great time.

   Region Zero has memorial patches in stock for Bummer and Bones, so get your hands on them while supplies last. Keep in mind that Region Zero has individuals able to sew your patches and repair your leather goods.

   Short and sweet for today. Be careful out there or you'll need stitched up yourselves or worse. Thank you!

Legislatively, nothing is happening.  The majority of the politicians are gearing up for reelection campaigns.  But I was assured that our sponsors of the Right of Way Bill are still working on it.  I am waiting on a conference call to see where we are at.

Understand that we are not the only organization fighting for these issues.  I hope to still get our bill introduced and then to work with these other organizations to join efforts and win this fight.

We continue to fight for the right to continue to own internal combustion engines.  We will update you on all this.

We are continuing to fight for the right of vehicle owners and small shop owners to work on their own vehicles!  Not sure what this means?  Come to the meeting and it will be explained.

What else is happening across these great United States during the beginning of our 248^th year of existence?  We are the greatest nation in the history of the world, in my opinion, and it started because of citizens saying enough is enough!  Your rules are too strict and do not reflect our wants and needs!

I fully believe that it is time for all people to join together to fight for the rights for ALL AMERICANS, which were guaranteed 247 years ago in an effort to become a free country!!!  Lucky for motorcyclists, but more importantly all people, you can join and support ABATE of Ohio Inc. which has been fighting for motorcyclists and individual rights since 1978!

Happy Independence Day.  Remember, that volunteers all those many years ago demonstrated with a GREAT RISK, what it takes to be truly free!

Greetings fellow Abate members… hope all are having a great riding season so far. We are now smack dab in the middle of it and many miles and destinations are calling us.

As I am writing this, I am putting the ride sheet together for our annual Veterans Outreach ride on Saturday July 27, 2024 from Masters Bar and Grill on Trumbull Ave in Liberty. The route is all charted and it will take the rider over or past 4 lakes for some nice scenery while on the ride. Hope it will be great weather and a great dice run to help support the very important and needed cause of assisting our veterans.

In closing for this month, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the assistance and help from all the officers and members of this great region. It is an honor to be with you all every month. Until next we meet…
