Talking points:
·
Currently, there is not a set standard which law enforcement
must follow when a motorcycle has been seized while research is being conducted
to determine if the motorcycle or parts of the motorcycle is stolen.
·
In the past motorcyclists have received their vehicle back in
poor condition because of lack of care taken during the process.
·
ABATE supports this legislative effort to protect the rights
of motorcyclist’s property.
